Samsung has officially confirmed the company has sold 10 million Galaxy S Android phones in just 7 months. This impressive feat was accomplished with a 700,000 unit holiday push that lifted sales over the 10 million mark. Samsung has to be thrilled with their Android baby.
This target of 10 million Galaxy smartphones was helped most by North America where an estimated 4 million units sold, followed by 2.5 million in Europe and 2 million in South Korea. Samsung’s Tab and Galaxy Player, all running the same OS, expect to rival Apple’s iOS in breadth of devices running the OS variant. The Player is expected to show at CES this year.
