Sony Ericsson confirms, no Android 2.2 Froyo for the Xperia X10

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is an impressive Android smartphone available on AT&T, but unfortunately, it will remain stuck on an outdated version of Android — Android 2.1. Today, Sony Ericsson confirmed its refusal to launch Android 2.2 for the Xperia X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro. However, Sony Ericsson did promise future software updates, such as an update for multitouch, but don’t expect anything nearly as big or impressive as Froyo for the aging device.
