Verizon to announce the iPhone on January 11th, according to the Wall Street Journal

This is not the first time we have seen the Wall Street Journal ‘confirm’ the Verizon iPhone, however it looks like the announcement may finally be happening. Anyway, according to the most recent details coming from the Journal, “The iPhone is finally coming to Verizon Wireless.” And it is expected to arrive, or more accurately, it is expected to get announced this coming Tuesday. First we saw nothing in terms of the Verizon iPhone during CES and now this announcement just a few days later and while many believe this is a sure thing I am thinking one thing is certain — people are going to revolt if Verizon does not announce the iPhone on Tuesday. Seriously, I am sensing a geek riot following the closing words if Verizon fails to mention the iPhone.
