Skype reaches new milestone, tops 27 million simultaneous users

While many have used Skype up till this point, it seems that the service has recently gotten a nice boost due to the recently announced video call support on the iPhone. Anyway, the team over at Skype have announced they have reached a new milestone in terms of simultaneous users — 27 million. And for those wondering, that has topped the 25 million that are usually online during peak hours. Of course, at this point some will likely just remember the recent downtime issues that Skype had. Still, 27 million is rather impressive, wonder how long it will be until they crack the 30 million simultaneous user mark?
