One of the hottest Android phone previewed during CES 2011, which also happens to be the first dual-core smartphone – the LG Optimus 2X just went up pre-order over at Expansys UK. So, if you got excited about this new Android phone during the announcement at CES 2011, now is your chance to be among the first owner of the LG Optimus 2X as Expansys promises to deliver your units by February 21.
Any guesses on how much Expansys is offering the LP Optimus 2X? If you guessed something around $500 to $600, well you’re wrong. Actually it’s close to that price. Expansys is selling the LG Optimus 2X for around $799. And guess what – it’s unlocked. Well, this expected since it will be a UK handset, where most smartphones are available without carrier contract.
In case you already forgot, the LP Optimus 2X runs on 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor as well as Android 2.2 Froyo but can be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also sports a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display, 8MP camera, full HD 720p video capture, microSD card slot and 8GB of on-board memory.
So, who’s pre-ordering the LG Optimus 2X from Expansys? Or do you find the price still high?
