As a result of an expiring contract between RadioShack and Wal-Mart, RadioShack will have to shut down over 400 kiosks in various Sam’s Club retail stores. The contract is set to expire on June 30 and at the time Sam’s Club will take over the kiosk and replace it with something else. RadioShack has made a nice profit for itself through kiosks in Sam’s Club by selling cell phones and contracts. In fact, the tech giant company profited around $20.6 million in the first nine months of 2010. To compensate for less kiosks in Sam’s Club, RadioShack will most likely add more kiosks to various Target retail stores across the United States, but RadioShack is not optimistic in matching a similar profit.
