We saw a nice series of leaked BlackBerry handsets recently including the Curve Apollo and the Dakota and now we are seeing the Torch 2. This latest, the Torch 2 seems to be similar to the Dakota in that it appears to be a nice step up from previous versions. Just to begin with, the Torch 2 is going to arrive sporting a 1.2GHz processor complete with hardware acceleration. A nice bump up from the 600MHz processor on the original Torch. Anyway, other specs include a 3.2 inch VGA (640 x 480) capacitive touchscreen display, 8GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, NFC, a 1300 mAh battery and 5 megapixel camera with flash. In addition the Torch 2 is also going to ship with BlackBerry OS 6.1. With that, while we are still not sure what the launch price will be, we do know that the handset is expected to arrive with AT&T later in the year — sometime in Q3.
