Those who have been wondering what will be HTC’s plan for its attack on the tablet market, you can stop wondering from now. Digitimes is reporting that HTC is planning to launch three tablet PCs in the first half of 2011. The first of this model being the HTC Flyer will be available by March. And what do we know about the HTC Flyer? According to the same source, the HTC Flyer looks like an enlarged version of the HTC Desire.
Initially, the HTC Flyer will be running the upcoming Android 2.3 OS but this will be upgraded once the tablet-specific Android OS, Honeycomb becomes available. In addition, the HTC Flyer will be released through a major telecom carrier and HTC is aiming to release the said tablet earlier than its would-be competitors, the BlackBerry Playbook and Motorola XOOM. Both tablets are schedule to be released by April.
HTC is also planning to launch the two other HTC Android tablets by June. By then both tablets will be running Android 3.0.
