Just yesterday, an invitation located on a Samsung website announced the existence of the Galaxy S successor to be displayed at MWC 2011. According to a report, the specs of the upcoming Galaxy S2 device, codenamed Seine, are high-end and similar in nature to the Google Nexus S.
The Super AMOLED four inch display customary on Galaxy S devices will be upgraded to a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display which brings a higher resolution and a clearer picture. In addition, it sports NFC capability, 8MP rear facing camera, 1GB RAM, Dual-core Samsung Orion processor, full HD 1080p video recording, and it is less than 9mm thick. The specs do not reveal whether a front facing camera is present or not, but I would assume one exists.
We will have to wait until February 13 for official confirmation of these specs, but they seem realistic and legitimate.
