While T-Mobile is going to begin rolling out the Android 2.2 update for their Galaxy S handset (the Vibrant) as of today that does not mean all the Galaxy S handsets here in the US are going to be getting Froyo just yet. And while we have yet to hear anything official from AT&T and Verizon Wireless, we can tell you that the update for the Samsung Epic 4G is not ready just yet. The details come by way of the official Sprint Twitter account and read as follows;
“Sprint & Samsung are working to release Froyo for Epic ASAP, but only after it meets rigorous testing criteria to ensure quality experience”
In other words, its back to the waiting (and hoping) game.

…and "Rigorous Testing" takes 5 months??…
I hope both Sprint and Samsung are embarrassed, because I'm furious. Not only did I buy a Galaxy S phone, but I bought THE premiere model of the Galaxy line, the Epic 4G. Now here I am, being treated like a chump for believing what I was told by Sprint when I bought the phone. I hope Sprint & Samsung's laughs are worth it, because my loyalty as a customer is dead.
