While we have already seen some evidence that Verizon is going to be dropping the mail-in-rebates for smartphones priced at $150 or higher, we are still awaiting the official word from Verizon. But with that, there is some more evidence that this will be happening, and happening soon — possible as of today. The latest comes in the form of a “Mail-In Quick Rebates” form from Verizon and it is dated as of today January 31st. Anyway, this does come as evidence however the confusing part here is that while this does offer some details, the details are in what is missing — the higher priced smartphones. For example, devices such as the BlackBerry Storm2, the Droid X and the Droid Pro are missing.
