Verizon Wireless HTC Thunderbolt Tweet

While the biggest news coming from Verizon Wireless these days is the impending launch of the iPhone 4, Verizon is offering us a friendly reminder that it has a 4G LTE Android device up its sleeves. And according to Verizon’s latest tweet, said LTE smartphone could launch “sooner than we expected.”

The HTC Thunderbolt isn’t expected to launch in the immediate future, but based on this latest tweet, perhaps we will see the smartphone launch sometime in February. With Sprint and T-Mobile already running 4G capable Android smartphones, it is necessary Verizon Wireless launch one of its own as soon as possible. With all of its talk at CES 2011 about its powerful LTE network, many Android fans are anxiously awaiting the deployment of the Thunderbolt.

Here is the full text of the tweet:

Many have waited for the Verizon #iPhone. Some looking for the #4G #LTE HTC #Thunderbolt. May be sooner than we expected!
