Google has announced the latest update to their Gmail mobile web app — Priority Inbox. And the good news here is that this will be ready and available for most mobile browsers, well, most as long as they support HTML5. That said, two that we can say with certainty include Android devices running Android 1.5 or later and iOS devices running iOS 3.0 or later. Of course, this new found support does come with a limitation in that you cannot set up Priority Inbox or mark messages as important or unimportant from the mobile app. Basically, this will allow you to see the Priority Inbox, think read only for now, but hey its a start. With that, in order to check out the latest version of the Gmail mobile app on your smartphone, fire up the browser and head to gmail.com. Once there you can click “Menu” and you should see your Priority Inbox.
