Alltel Wireless has just brought in a new Samsung Android phone under its various smartphone offerings – the Samsung Gem. If you don’t mind getting a Samsung smartphone equipped with Android 2.1, then you might want to give the Samsung Gem a consideration. This Android phone, despite the lack of Android 2 is still a full-featured device with several nice features including a large LCD touch display.
Briefly, here are the features that you should expect from the Samsung Gem – Google Search and Google Maps with turn-by-turn GPS navigation, direct-to-social photo posting, 3.2MP camera, SWYPE virtual keyboard, drag and drop widgets and icons, and Wi-Fi.
Best part is – the Samsung Gem is available from Alltel Wireless for free after a $50 mail in rebate, provided of course that you’d sign up for a mobile data contract.
