Sony Ericsson just expanded its Xperia lineup by way of two new Xperia smartphones – the Xperia neo and Xperia pro. To be introduced during the Mobile World Congress, these two Xperia smartphones will both be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Since we’re a bit surprised by the Xperia Pro, let’s take a look then at its features and specs. First, it has a slide-out keyboard with smart functions for faster text messaging. It also boasts of fast Type & Send functionality. This Smart Keyboard triggers predictive messaging actions automatically when you slide out the phone’s keyboard. Key specs of the Xperia Pro include – 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255, Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 3.7-inch Capacitive FWVGA touchscreen display which is also scratch-resistant, 320MB on-board memory, support for microSD card up to 32GB with 8GB included. The Xperia Pro will be available in Black, Red and Silver sometime around Q2 2011.
Looking now at the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, we found out that this Android phone is not really different in terms of specs and features with the Xperia Pro. Except of course for the slide-out keyboard that the Xperia Pro has. Other features are pretty much the same. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will be available in Blue Gradient, Red and Silver sometime around March 2011.
