Acer has joined the ongoing Android tablet party at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2011 by announcing its own Android tablet – the Acer Iconia A100. Aside from the usual Android tablet features and spec that this device has, this device has a nice home page interface that groups mobile resources into four main content usages. These include – Games Zone, eReading, Multimedia and SNS. The last one being the social networking feature where you can find links to Facebook, Twitter and Acer’s very own Social Jogger which integrates all your social networking accounts.
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 is also preloaded with clear.fi, a media sharing system that integrates the device in your home clear.fi system for easily accessing, playing, and sharing multimedia.
Under the hood of the Iconia Tab A100 is a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GPU with Flash 10.1 support and 1080p HD video playback capability. The device also features Dolby Mobile sound system for your listening pleasure. Other features include – a 2MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, and HDMI port.
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 will be released in the UK sometime end of April. No words yet on pricing.
