With Apple announcing the iPad 2 yesterday, it came as no surprise to see the price on the now obsolete iPad drop by $100. If you purchased the original iPad recently, despite all the chatter about a new iPad launching momentarily, then you are probably annoyed you missed out on a better product or at least a cheaper price on what you bought. However, Apple is going to credit $100 to recent purchasers of the original iPad, that is, if you purchased one in the previous two weeks. Simply swing by your local Apple store or call Apple and make sure you can verify the date in which you bought the iPad.
