Samsung Series 9 notebook

Samsung has just announced its new 11-inch Series 9 notebook which shall be available through Best Buy and other retailers and e-tailers starting mid-April. This 11-inch Series 9 notebook will be preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium and packed with a 64GB HDD. Other specs of the Samsung 11-inch Series 9 notebook include – Intel Core i3 Processor 380UM 1.33 GHz, 2GB of RAM, 11.1-inch HD LED-backlit SuperBright Plus display (1366×768), integrated Intel GMA HD graphics, Lithium Polymer battery with up to 7 hours usage, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Wimax. This baby weighs at a mere 2.31 lbs. and could very well suit up against Apple’s 11-inch MacBook Air.

If the 11-inch Series 9 notebook is Samsung’s bet against the 11-inch MBA, well it also has a bet against the new 13-inch MBA. And yes it’s also a Series 9 notebook with almost the same features except for the fact that it weighs heavier at 2.89 lbs., has Intel Core i5 1.4 GHz processor, Windows 7 home Premium or Windows 7 Professional, 4GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD, 13.3-inch HD LED-backlit SuperBrightPlus display, and Intel HD GT Graphics.

The Samsung 13-inch Series 9 laptop will be available at Best Buy and other major US retailers starting March 17 with a suggested retail price is $1,649. Pricing for the 11-inch Series 9 notebook is not yet available.
