Verizon may have just started selling the HTC Thunderbolt for $249.99, but on day one Amazon has them beat. Today the online retail giant has the first 4G Verizon Wireless smartphone for $70 less than Verizon itself.
It’s not clear if Amazon is selling the Thunderbolt at $179.99 as part of a promotion or what. So, if you really want the Thunderbolt, it’d be a good idea to buy it from Amazon now in case the price goes back up sometime soon. There’s even a deal that gives you free mobile hotspot usage until May 15. That’s just under two months of 4G mobile hotspot, which sounds fantastic.
So, if you can wait two days for the phone to ship (complete with free shipping), head over to Amazon right now. If you do, feel free to let us know what you think of the phone. From what I saw at CES it seemed like a great phone, but real-world conditions are always a bit different.
