Samsung is set to announce the latest iteration of its highly successfull Samsung Galaxy Tab in time for the CTIA. Pocket Now was able to snag some publicity photos as well as found out some specs of the said new Galaxy Tab. So we now know that it will be an 8.9-inch tablet running Android 3.0 Honeycomb and will have Live Panel homescreen with custom widgets and an app switcher similar to BlackBerry PlayBook.
Other things to look out for from the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet include – 1280×800 resolution which is slightly higher than the pixel density of the Motorola Xoom. Additionally, the tablet will be as thin as 8.6 mm and weighs only 470g. Of course, the tablet will have a dual-core 1GHz processing chip.
