Sony Ericsson announced last week that the Xperia Play was launching in 11 countries, and to the dismay of many — the US was not included in that list. Of course, there was some hints in the press release that a US release would be coming within the next two weeks. And well, while we have not gotten anything else from Sony Ericsson just yet, an FCC filing has recently been discovered and it includes the CDMA version of the Xperia Play. In other words, a soon to be release with Verizon can be expected anytime now. And interestingly enough, the model that was seen in the filing was showing off a SIM card slot, which has lead some to speculate that the Xperia Play will be 4G LTE capable when it arrives with Verizon.
