Just a quick note here to remind you that Samsung has officially announced the arrival of the Wi-Fi only variant of its highly successful Galaxy Tab device. Earlier we told you that the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi is now available for pre-order with Frys. If you haven’t placed your order yet, you might want to wait up until April 10 as Samsung said that the Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi will be available on the said date initially from CompUSA, TigerDirect and Circuit City with more stores to be announced later. As for the price point, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi will be sold for $349.99.
For that price you’ll get the same Galaxy Tab with Android 2.2, 7-inch TFT display with 1024×600 resolution, 32GB of internal storage and microSD card slot and Adobe Flash support. In case you’re interested to know, the Apple iPad 2 Wi-Fi only with 16GB internal storage will cost you $499. So it seems like the Galaxy Tab will be a more practical option for your first tablet device to own.
