Retailer B&H has just put the Acer Iconia W500 tablet up for pre-order. In case you’re wondering how different is this from the Acer Iconia A500 Tab we featured recently – well, it’s actually the same look and appearance with 10.1-inch screen display. The differences between the two tablets have to be what you can find inside these machines. The Acer Iconia Tab A500 is your usual Android Honeycomb tablet while the Iconia W500 is running on Windows 7 Ultimate Edition. It is powered by an AMD 1GHz C-Series Processor C-50 and has an HD CrystalBrite TFT LCD display. In addition, this tablet has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of SSD storage, dual Acer Crystal Eye Webcams, AMD Radeon HD 6250 Graphics, Wi-Fi, HDMI port and Bluetooth. The Acer Iconia W500 also has an integrated bottom US keyboard dock.
Obviously, the Acer Iconia W500 tablet is more powerful than the Iconia A500 Tab. As such it is priced $100 more at $549.99 including the keyboard dock. You can pre-order the Acer Iconia W500 now and have it after April 15, as promised by B&H.
