Verizon still unsure if they want to carry the BlackBerry PlayBook

RIM originally announced the BlackBerry PlayBook back on March 22nd and at that time they offered a full list of retail partners that one could expect to see at launch. Well, flash forward till the launch date which came on April 19th and there was at least one missing — Verizon Wireless. As it turns out, Verizon is still unsure if they are going to carry the PlayBook. According to Verizon Wireless Spokeswoman Brenda Raney;

“We’re still evaluating the BlackBerry Playbook and have not made a determination as to whether we’re going to distribute it,”

That said, it looks like anyone that had been hoping to get a PlayBook through Verizon is going to have to put their plans on hold for a bit.
