Acer has just unloaded its Iconia Tab W500 tablet to selected U.S. retailers. If you’ve missed our previous coverage of this tablet, this should serve as a reminder that the Acer Iconia Tab W500 is a Windows 7 tablet which is almost similar to its sibling, the Iconia Tab A500, except of course for the fact that the A500 is obviously running the Android OS. The Acer Iconia Tab W500 prides of having a 10.1-inch multi-touch screen for full touch operations of all its functionality including email, web access, cloud-based apps, and playing digital media. Users who prefer a full notebook PC experience will have the option of getting full-sized chicklet docking keyboard. This keyboard connects easily to the tablet via USB and can also provide additional viewing angle as well as a docking station with Ethernet port and USB port for connecting additional devices. Said docking keyboard also has Acer Fine Track which is a pointing device with two buttons useful for navigation. The Acer Iconia Tab W500 boasts of 4 hours battery life when viewing HD video and six hours when using it for Internet browsing.

The Acer Iconia Tab W500 is available in two flavors, one running on Windows 7 professional and retails for $619.00, while the other running on Windows 7 Home Premium and getting an SRP of $549.99.
