Sony Ericsson has just put the wraps off its first ever Android Walkman phone, the Sony Ericsson W8. Said Walkman phone looks a lot like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, except for the fact that it will be available in three various, funky coatings. Of course, the phone bears the Walkman markings to distinguish it from other Xperia phones. The Sony Ericsson W8 boasts of a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen in 320×480 pixels resolution, a 3.2 MP camera, 600MHz single-core processor, 168MB of RAM, and runs Android 2.1 with Sony Ericsson’s Timescape UI on top. Naturally, the phone also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack where you can attach the included Sony Ericsson MH410 stereo headset. Being the first Sony Ericsson Android Walkman phone, are you impressed by the specs of the W8 Walkman phone?
If yes and you’re located in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam or India, expect the Sony Ericcson W8 to be released sometime in Q2 2011. No words on pricing and US release date yet.
