Comcast has officially announced their 4G/3G Mobile Hotspot modem. The model is the MiFi 4082 from Novatel Wireless, but will be better known as the Xfinity Internet 2go Mobile Hotspot modem. The modem can be purchased for “a $25 one-time fee with a qualifying Xfinity Internet 2go service plan.” Otherwise, in terms of the modem itself, nothing surprising here as we have seen the same model launch with Sprint. That said, this one will allow Comcast users to share their connection on the go with up to five devices at any given time. And lastly, in addition to the $25 purchase price, those interested will also need to shell out an additional $40 per month for the service which includes unlimited 4G surfing and 5G worth of 3G surfing.
