While everybody else is bringing out 9 or 10 inch tablets running on Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, ViewSonic wants to be different is rumored to be prepping up the new ViewPad 7x pre-loaded with Honeycomb Android OS which up to know is still uncertain whether it’s going to be 3.0 or the just announced 3.1 version. With that, ViewSonic is beating HTC and its Flyer tablet which is also a 7-inch device but will be running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread upon launch. ViewSonic is scheduled to unveil the ViewPad 7x during the Computex 2011 happening on May 31 in Taipei.

Aside from Honeycomb, the ViewSonic ViewPad 7x will also feature the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip, which in case you’re not aware is a dual-core processor. The tablet will also sport two cameras, HSPA+, DLNA and HDMI support. No words on pricing yet, but it is also rumored that the ViewSonic ViewPad will start hitting stores by June 2011. This is of course not surprising considering that the ViewPad 7x will be almost similar to the ViewPad 7.
