Android 3.1 Honeycomb expected to arrive on Asus & Acer tablets beginning in June

Google unveiled version 3.1 of Honeycomb during I/O and at the time we learned the new features along with the fact that Motorola Xoom users would soon get a notification to update. And well, while the Xoom is probably the most popular Honeycomb running tablet at this point, there are at least a few others out there. Some of the other models include the Eee Pad Transformer from Asus and the Iconia Tab A500 from Acer — and the good news is that they can both expect Android 3.1 to arrive sometime early next month. And sadly, so far nothing solid as to when those with an LG G-Slate can expect to receive the latest iteration of Honeycomb. But on the bright side, it is rather refreshing to see the Asus and Acer models getting an update so quickly. Of course, that goes on the assumption that the update rolls-out as expected and there are not any delays.
