Amazon rolls-out Appstore for Android update, makes it harder to make accidental purchases and more

Those who have downloaded and been using the Android Appstore may be happy to hear that an update is available — and an update that should make it a bit harder to accidentally purchase an app. The update is ready and available and those with the Appstore already loaded should see the alert next time they launch it on their device. In terms of changes, this brings the Amazon Appstore up to version 1.14 and includes the following changes;

  • Two-step buy button. No more accidental purchases.
  • More accurate errors on purchase failure or when apps are incompatible.
  • Improved compatibility check for Free App of the Day
  • Improved support for Android 1.6
  • Overall stability improvements
