Pantech Crossover Android smartphone with 2.2, AT&T, 3G

Pantech’s latest Android device is headed to AT&T June 5 and packs a slim, slide-out keyboard. Pantech has been making devices with Android for their Pantech-SKY brand in Korea. In the US, this will be Pantech’s big move, pushing past feature phones like their quick-messaging devices.

Pantech is the sponsor of the 2011 Dew Tour, an appropriate marketing link to help capture more of the feature phone market. The Crossover, though, will look to move upstream, hopefully pulling some loyal Pantech supporters with it. At just $69, it will definitely turn heads.

Featuring Android 2.2 (froyo), the phone has a 3.1″ touchscreen, 600MHz processor, 3MP camera and hotspot capabilities. The device also features GPS, voice recognition and accelerometers. The Crossover is Android Market ready.
