Twitter has begun making changes to its website today. Twitter’s search feature has been improved to display more tweets that may matter to you. This feature has also been extended to trending topics as well. Also, the search results will include the top images and videos based on whatever you searched for. For example, Marilyn Monroe is a trending topic today. After clicking on the trending topic link or entering her name into the search box, you’ll see “top images” and “top videos” to the right of the page. You’ll be able to view all the top photos in a separate browser tab.
Twitter also confirmed it is rolling out an official photo uploading service “over the next several weeks.” The feature will be very straight forward. A little picture icon will appear just below the text box.
Here’s what it will look like.
Twitter will be expanding this feature to mobile applications as well on smartphones and non-smartphones. Twitter is trying to make it so that users who aren’t using smartphones can upload pictures to Twitter through text messages.
