LG Korea has just officially launched the Optimus 3D Android phone. This is to be called the LG Thrill 4G once it is released by AT&T in the U.S. As its name suggests, the LG Optimus 3D features a 3D LCD measuring 4.3-inch with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It also packs in a 1GHz dual core TI OMAP4430 processor, 512MB of RAM, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 5MP camera that can record 3D 1080p video at 24fps as well as 3D 720p video at 30fps. The phone also features 14.4Mbps HSPA+ and 1500mAh battery pack. For watching your 3D masterpiece, you can connect the phone to your HDTV via HDMI port or send it via DNLA to supported display devices. Additionally, if you want to share your 3D videos to your friends or family, the phone will let you upload and stream it on YouTube’s 3D channel. The phone runs Android 2.2 Froyo and will also feature the world’s first 3D augmented reality browser which can be downloaded from LGWorld.
The LG Optimus 3D is scheduled for release in the coming weeks, but only in Europe. U.S. release dates are still unknown as of this time.
