Huawei MediaPad announced

As previously mentioned, Huawei has officially unveiled its new 7-inch tablet – the Huawei MediaPad. Huawei was pretty successful in eliciting some hype over their tablet for the past couple of days, especially when that short, odd clip came out on YouTube. But then, no more guessing game as Huawei has officially launched the said tablet. And guess what, the MediaPad has pulled a few good surprises, specifically the fact that it will be coming out loaded with Android 3.2. Yes, you read it right, that’s not the same Android OS loaded on the previously released Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, but a new one. When asked what’s different about Android 3.2, the Huawei said that it’s practically the same OS but the 3.2 was made made specifically for 7-inch tablets.

Alright, here are the stuff that matters and probably what you’re really interested to know about – the specs of Huawei MediaPad:

  • Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS
  • 7-inch IPS capacitive touchpanel
  • 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 5MP rear-facing camera
  • 1.3MP front-facing camera
  • Full 1080p HD video playback and capture
  • HSPA+ (14.4Mbps) 3G support
