We still need something a bit more official from Samsung, or a carrier, however it looks like the Galaxy Tab 8.9 has inched one step closer to being released here in the US. And by that, we of course are referring to an FCC filing. Needless to say, the details were fairly sparse (as to be expected) but what we can tell you may make those wishing for an AT&T capable device smile — the FCC filing did confirm that that tablet will have support for AT&T 3G bands. More specifically, support for the 850/1900MHz GSM bands along with the WCDMA bands II and V. And while we wait, we do have this not so pretty sketch of the tablet to stare at.
