Vizio tablet available for pre-order at $399

Vizio is currently taking pre-orders for its 8 inch Android tablet that is expected to ship by July 18. Most tablets that launch feature 7 inch or 10 inch screens, so it’s interesting to see Vizio go in the middle with an 8 inch device. For $399, you’re getting a tablet that sports Android 2.3, a 8 inch screen with 1024×768 resolution, a front facing VGA camera, WiFi, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage (but Vizio throws in a 16GB microSD card with the pre-order), and has a 10 hour battery life.
