Sprint rolling out Nexus S 4G software update on July 11th

Those carrying a Sprint branded Nexus S 4G have a software update to look forward to. The update is expected to arrive on July 11th and roll-out over a 4 day period. As for what you can expect to see, changes will include;

  • Enables te NFC Secure Element
  • 4G Settings Widget
  • TTY Support
  • NI Push Support (PRL and Device Configuration)
  • Improved Wi-Fi connectivity, speaker phone audio quality, 4G throughput and signal acquisition
  • Tuned signal strength indicators

That being said, the update will bring the software version up to GRJ90. And lastly, while this update is set to begin on July 11th — remember that it will be rolling out over a 4 day period, which means you may not get in on the 11th. In fact, according to the details, it looks like Sprint will only offer it up to 5 percent of users on the 11th.
