Are you one of those who have been waiting for the Google Chrome OS-powered netbooks? If you didn’t get a chance to get ahold of the previously released Samsung version of this Chrome netbook, you might stand a chance with the Acer AC700 Chromebook instead. Amazon now has some stock of this machine and you can have one for yourself for only $349. Yes, it’s much cheaper than the Samsung Chromebook but (almost) equally as spec’d with an 11.6-inch display, 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N570 dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of SSD. It also has a full-sized keyboard which contains Chrome OS shortcuts. Unfortunately, only the Wi-Fi model of the Acer Chromebook is available although Acer promises to deliver a 3G version later on which shall cost around $429.
