When HP originally announced the Pre 3 way back when they made mention that it would be sporting a single-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor when it launched. And well, given its been quite a while and we are still waiting to see this handset come available, I guess we should not be all that surprised to see an updated spec listing on the HP website. And while the processor is still a Snapdragon, it is no longer listed at 1.4GHz. Instead, this latest is showing the processor as being a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060. Granted, this is probably not going to be a make or break factor for many, however it is still nice to see the processor bumped from a single- to dual-core. But that being said, maybe the reason HP has taken so long to release the Pre 3 was due to issues with the 1.4GHz processor, so maybe, just maybe this change was done in an effort to be able to ramp up production and get them into the available device category.
