If you’re looking for an affordable Samsung Galaxy smartphone on Bell that doesn’t feature the high-end specs found in the Galaxy S II, then you may be interested in the Galaxy Gio. According to a leaked internal document from Bell, the Gio is going to launch on August 4th at an unknown price point.
The Gio features a 3.2 inch touch screen display, 3MP rear facing camera, WiFi, and it runs on Android 2.3. No word on the processor or onboard memory, but it is a mid-range device, so don’t expect it to boast a dual-core processor with 16GB of memory; it will more than likely run on a 1GHz or 800MHz processor with 2GB of 8GB of memory. If it does, indeed, launch on August 4th, then I’m sure Bell will announce the exact pricing and full specs within a week or so.
