If an iPad or other tablet has become a vital part of your daily life, you’re probably doing a lot of searches on the web using these devices. And Google knows that. That’s why they just made their search page friendlier for tablet devices such as the iPad and Android tablets. This enhancement is gradually being rolled out. To check if it’s already rolled out to your location, simply point your iPad or tablet’s browser to www.google.com. You will immediately notice the difference since the new search results page will be sporting a simplified layout and the size of page contents such as text and buttons are larger – to make it faster and easier to browse whether your tablet is in portrait or landscape mode.
Additionally, you’ll also find quick access buttons to specific Google search verticals such as Images, Videos, Places, Shopping and More. You can now easily see results in one category by simply tapping on an option after opening the search menu. If you’re searching for images, the Google Image Search Results page now has enlarged image previews, continous scrolling, and faster loading of image thumbnails.
As mentioned, the update is being gradually rolled out. If you’ve seen the changes while doing search on your iPad or Android tablet, feel free to leave a comment and tell us how do you find it so far.
