The Dealmap

Google has been throwing its money around lately. Last month, Google acquired a facial recognition company called PittPatt and a company that specializes in creating social networking groups called Fridge. This week, Google has purchased a daily deals site named The Dealmap for an undisclosed amount.

The Dealmap searches the the internet in search of some of the best deals from various sources and compiles them so that local users can take part in the savings. The Dealmap gets the word out on deals through email, Twitter and with its iOS and Android apps.

The Dealmap will continue to push out the deals despite the acquisition. As more time goes on, The Dealmap will reveal how it will integrate into Google.
