If you’re in the London area on September 1 you may want to head over HTC’s new meetup. The phone manufacturer is inviting fans to come see what the company has to offer, promising a few phone treats along with the usual food, drink, and music.
HTC isn’t saying if fans can expect new phones to be announced at the event, though that doesn’t mean there won’t be. The event is inviting fans to “see what’s next,” which certainly hints that there will be something new. As BGR points out, the timing in right for HTC to show off some the Prime and Ignite, it’s two Windows Phone Mango devices that should be launching sometime soon. There’s also a possibility of the HTC Ruby showing up. The Ruby is the successor to the Sensation, and it said to hold a qHD screen powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz CPU. Or, maybe we could see something about HTC’s upcoming 10-inch tablet.
It’s all speculation right now, but the start of September seems like a good time to show off some new devices for the end of the year. Plus, who better to show off the phones to than some press and diehard fans of the brand? As soon as we hear anything about what HTC’s showing, we’ll be sure to let you know.
