After being on the market since this past April, the Droid Incredible 2 is finally getting a new color. As these new colors seem to go lately, the Droid Incredible 2 will be available in white, but only from Best Buy starting August 21.
The white Droid Incredible 2 will sell for $149 on SUnday August 21 when it goes on sale. It’s the same as the black version, though it will sell for $50 less than what Verizon charges for it. You still get the 4-inch screen, 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and Android 2.2. Sad that it’s still running Froyo instead of Gingerbread, but at least it’s only one major release behind the latest version, right? It could be much worse, it could still be running on Android 2.1 Eclair.
Best Buy seems to have a thing for offering white phones exclusively. It’s cool that the store offers a variety you can’t get more places, but why only white? Why can’t phones come in colors other than black, white, and silver? Why not offer an exclusive blue phone to go with the Best Buy colors? Or maybe a red phone, just to be a bit different? Sure, it’s not just Best Buy to blame, the manufacturers actually have to make the devices with those colors, but is it so hard to put on some more colors? We don’t need much, even just a phone available in one of the three primary colors would be good enough. Please?
