And the good news just keeps on rolling in for all things webOS. First HP decides to ditch its webOS hardware operations, then it starts telling retailers to drop the TouchPad’s price by hundreds of dollars and now the Pre 3 appears to have been killed off. I suppose this isn’t particularly surprising news since HP currently has no idea what it’s going to do with webOS at this point.
webOSroundup got its hands on an internal email from a “U.S. parts supplier” that confirms the Pre 3 will not be coming to AT&T. A portion of the short email reads,”This device launch has been completely cancelled.”
The email was sent Friday at 2:45pm and was labeled as being of high importance. Perhaps AT&T will make a formal announcement soon. We’ll pretend to be surprised.
