The details on this one are still rather sketchy and should be considered nothing more than rumor and/or speculation at this point. But that being said, according to the DigiTimes, Samsung is eyeing HP’s computer business.
“The sources added that Samsung’s actions seem like it is already in preparation to take up Hewlett-Packard’s (HP’s) PC business.”
Of course, at this point the details are all coming by way of reports that suggest Samsung is looking to possibly outsource some notebook orders to Taiwan-based companies including Quanta, Compal and Pegatron. In other words, while still early in this developing story, it is one that could have an interested outcome and deserves some watching.
