While Google originally announced that they were going to bring offline Gmail and offline Calendar access to Chrome OS way back at Google I/O — it looks like that support will be arriving sooner rather than later at this point. These most recent details have come by way of the This Week in Google podcast, where in addition to the cast regulars, Google engineer Ido Green was on the show. Anyway, according to Green, offline Gmail and offline Calendar support should arrive before the end of summer. And as a little bit of a teaser, in addition to those two, there will also be a few more offline related features coming.
