Toshiba unveils the slim Portégé Z830 Ultrabook Series

Toshiba has just announced its first Ultrabook, the the Portégé Z830 laptops. Featuring 2nd Generation Intel Core processors – core i3, i5, and i7, this new Ultrabook weighs only 2.5 pounds and measures only 0.63-inch in thickness. This form factor and design make the Portégé Z830 lighter and thinner than Toshiba’s previous R830 series laptops. This laptop also features a 13.3-inch display, DDR3 memory, 128GB SSD and Toshiba’s Hi-Speed Start technology which allows the laptop to power up in just few seconds. The Portégé Z830 laptops also has full-size LED backlit and spill-resistant keyabord, Toshiba’s USB Sleep & Charge technology, stereo speakers with enhanced audio technology from Waves Audio. Design-wise, this ultrabook is also a sight to behold with its light and yet durable magnesium alloy casing with Honeycomb Rib design. For reliability, security, and durability, Toshiba used its EasyGuard Technology on this machine.

With retail prices starting at $1,000, the Portégé Z830 Series Ultrabook systems will be available in November 2011 at select retail stores and Toshiba Preferred Partner Program resellers or from toshibadirect.com.
