It looks like a few upcoming Verizon smartphones have been revealed a bit ahead of schedule. The devices include a pair of Android running smartphones, the Pantech Breakout and the Samsung Illusion.
Lets begin first with the details for the Breakout (pictured above). This handset is sporting 4G LTE branding on the backside along with features to include a 4 inch WVGA touchscreen display, single-core 1GHz processor, 512MB memory, a front facing webcam and a 5 megapixel rear facing camera.
In terms of the Samsung Illusion (pictured above), this handset is sporting the model number of SCH-i110 and looks like it is going to arrive with an HVGA quality touchscreen, an 800MHz (or possibly a 1GHz) processor and a 3 or 5 megapixel camera on the back. Bottom line, much of the details of the Illusion are still unknown, however one thing seems fairly certain — this is a device destined for the entry level market.
With that, we are still missing the key items such as pricing and release dates. Plus, an official announcement from Verizon would be nice to have.
