On top of all the new BlackBerry phones that came out recently RIM has decided to make some improvements to finding apps on all it’s smartphones. Today RIM announced that BlackBerry AppWorld has been upgraded to version 3.0.
With AppWorld 3.0 users will get a better design, which should make finding apps a better experience. AppWorld now supports BlackBerry ID as well which allows you to have just one account for all your BlackBerry devices from your smartphone to your PlayBook. Finding apps should be easier with the new channel in AppWorld, making it easier to distinguish productivity-type apps from games and themes. It’ll also be easier to have your friends recommend apps through Twitter, Facebook, BBM, email, or SMS right from AppWorld. Of course, this is still BlackBerry AppWorld, so don’t expect a whole ton of great apps, but there’s bound to be some worth talking about, right?
